Rosary Garden

Rosary #39 • Thu, Dec 16, 2021

Amy, a longtime friend and former coworker of mine at St. Norbert College, hit me up to make a rosary that she can give to her cousin Lynn. Lynn's husband, Mark, recently passed away and Amy wanted a rosary that featured the colors of their family. So, Amy chose these birthstones:

Alexandrite, Aquamarine, Garnet, Amethyst, Turquoise, Topaz

We used 8mm glass faceted beds. St. Nicholas is the patron saint of the family's home parish in Freedom, Wisconsin, so the centerpiece is his image along with the inscription, "St. Nicholas Pray for Us." The crucifix is simple with ornate features. Even though I'm the one who made it, the design is 100% Amy's, so deep and thoughtful and colorful; a true Catholic representation of Mark and Lynn's family.
