Rosary Garden

Rosary #35 • Fri, Oct 1, 2021

This is the most special rosary I've ever made. I designed and crafted it for my niece Michele, who had just lost her husband Tim. You know how when someone passes away, and you just don't know exactly what to say or do? Yeah, that was me. So I just did what I do; I made Michele a rosary, one that is filled with symbolism. In addition to Michele, Tim is survived by their 2-year-old daughter, Natalie, the cutest little girl in the world. So I decided to make this one so that it symbolizes Natalie completely enveloped by the love of both her Mom and Dad. The pink Our Father beads represent Natalie. The blue aquamarine Hail Mary beads represent Tim. This color is special, not only because Tim served in the U.S. Navy and he was at peace on the ocean, but because it's also his birthstone. The pearl beads represent Michele; I just picked those because to me they radiate purity and motherhood. Michele and Natalie will continue to be blessed and watched over by the Holy Spirit for the rest of their lives, signified by the appropriate centerpiece. I also hung an anchor from the centerpiece to show my gratitude and respect for Tim's service to his country. The crucifix is a simple metal, ornate crucifix.
